QUESTION – SHOULD LORETTA LYNCH BE JAILED FOR BLOCKING THE IRAN RANSOM INVESTIGATION?

The shocking new revelation that Lynch thwarted an investigation into the Iran ransom exchange has many Americans calling for her to be put into a jail cell right next to Hillary.
.

The Attorney General has refused to be a part of a Congressional investigation into the Obama administration’s decision to secretly send $1.7 billion in cash to Iran earlier this year. Loretta Lynch opted instead to “plead the Fifth” in an apparent effort to avoid incriminating herself in the negotiations with terrorists, the Washington Free Beacon reportsFlorida Senator Marco Rubio and Kansas Representative Mike Pompeo presented Loretta Lynch with a series of questions about how the cash payment sent to Iran by cover of night in an unmarked plane, was both approved and delivered. On October, Peter Kadzik, the Assistant Attorney General, responded on Lynch’s behalf and noted her refusal to answer any of the questions posed by Congress.

In a letter, the elected officials informed Loretta Lynch that the Department of Treasury told them it had received the necessary and appropriate “approvals” from the Department of Justice before releasing the money for the payment to Iran. Rubio and Pompeo thus wanted documentation of the approvals given to Treasury Department from Lynch’s DOJ.

You may have recognized Peter Kadzik’s name from the John Podesta emails leaked by WikiLeaks. As previously reported by the Angry Patriot, Kadzick and Podesta are old pals and conversations between the two men have raised more concerns about the DOJ’s special treatment of Hillary during the private email server investigation.

To Rubio and Pompeo’s letter, Peter Kadzik responded the Justice Department officials are not permitted to publicly disclose any details about the $1.7 billion cash payment to Iran.

“The public release of any portion of these documents, or the information contained therein, is not authorized by the transmittal of these documents or by this communication,” Kadzik wrote in his response letter. “Please note that these documents contain sensitive information that is not appropriate for public release.”

The details about the Iran ransom payment are, reportedly, not classified. But, the documents pertaining to the deal are supposedly being kept under tight lock and key at a “secure facility” on Capitol Hill.

“Who knew that simple questions regarding Attorney General Lynch’s approval of billions of dollars in payments to Iran could be so controversial that she would refuse to answer them?” Pompeo said. “This has become the Obama administration’s coping mechanism for anything related to the Islamic Republic of Iran—hide information, obfuscate details, and deny answers to Congress and the American people.”

Rubio and Pompeo found the response from the DOJ “unacceptable.” The Congressional members said it proves Loretta Lynch has decided to “essentially plead the fifth and refuse to respond to inquiries regarding [her] role in providing cash to the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism.”

“It is frankly unacceptable that your department refuses to answer straightforward questions from the people’s elected representatives in Congress about an important national security issue,” a follow-up letter from Rubio and Pompeo to Lynch, said. “Your staff failed to address any of our questions, and instead provided a copy of public testimony and a lecture about the sensitivity of information associated with this issue.”

The response letter also said, “As the United States’ chief law enforcement officer, it is outrageous that you would essentially plead the fifth and refuse to respond to inquiries. The actions of your department come at a time when Iran continues to hold Americans hostage and unjustly sentence them to prison.” Rubio and Pompeo doubled down on their quest for answers, resent the same 13 questions and told Loretta Lynch to provide answers to Congress before November fourth. We hope that the truth on this matter will finally come to light then.
